Growth Is The Key To Success
Updated: Jun 17
Are you at a total loss on how to continue to grow personally as well as professionally?
We all hit a time in our lives when we are at a standstill and are unsure of how to break out of it no matter how badly we want to grow. So what is it that's holding us back? Is it our fear? Maybe our laziness?
"Without constantly wanting to develop and work on yourself you will never see professional growth. It is that easy. You need to work on yourself before you see any massive movements in your professional and personal life. It is like that airplane theory... if the oxygen falls from the plane you put it on yourself before you help others. Sometimes we are so easy to place blame on a situation or a person and not take a closer look at what we are doing and what is in our control."

Here are a few tips I have to help you break that standstill and get out of your comfort zone so that you can have the ability to grow into what it is you want to grow into, professionally as well as personally.
1. Time Management
The definition of time management is the process of intentionally structuring your schedule to best serve your goals. It requires strategically organizing tasks to maximize productivity. Good time management means organizing your time intentionally and prioritizing activities that most efficiently advance you towards your goals and honor your values.
Time management doesn't just help professionally but it helps personally as time is the most valuable commodity that you have. Make yourself a daily routine, this way you'll be reminding yourself where you're headed. Don't wait until you "feel like it" to do something, just do it so then you have time to do so much more! Planning sometimes doesn't feel productive, but it's essential to making the best use of your time.
Have daily goals that you can prioritize which in turn will help you get to that bigger goal that you have set. My biggest tip to you when managing your time is to prioritize, and write it down! It’s important to write it down because your brain can’t operate at its best when you try to keep track of all your to-do’s in your head. As you manage your time, your performance is going to improve.
"Until we can manage time, we can manage nothing else."
said Peter F. Drucker
2. Become More Confident
Something I have heard from day one is fake it til you make it, fake that confidence until you have it. The most important step to becoming more confident in yourself is taking action. You have to really want it and go for it. Understand that failure doesn't mean you fail and give up, it means you failed that route and you learn from it and make a better route!
Do what you're scared of and get the courage by doing it. Once you start to do things that you aren't so confident about, they become normal for you and you gain that confidence. Something that goes along with becoming more confident is to love yourself which is my next tip!
"Never doubt your ability to win, be bold enough to set your goals. Become the action and celebrate when you enter the winners circle."
said CEO/Founder Next Generation Marketing, Inc., Kevin Braden.
3. LOVE YOURSELF!
Being selfless is such an amazing quality but you can't forget about yourself. Loving yourself and putting yourself first doesn't just serve you but it serves those around you as well. Not loving yourself enough to go after what YOU truly desire and want will only run you down, you have to learn that YOU come first, go after what you want.
Don't just stay busy to be busy, stay busy for a purpose, for that bigger goal. As you begin to focus your energy on yourself and what you need you'll find yourself getting more inspiration and motivation than you were able to when you were just doing things for everyone else.
4. Motivate yourself
Motivation is a very tricky thing, you can get into funks where you just can't seem to find the motivation but the trick is to be able to motivate yourself. Self-motivation is the force that keeps pushing us to go on, our drive to achieve, produce and develop. When you're about to quit and give up, that's when your self-motivation is there to keep you from doing so. It's such a fundamental tool for reaching your goals because you'll learn and grow regardless of the situation that you're in. Believe that you can do it, believe that you have the skills and abilities needed to do it and that you will succeed!
5. Overcome Struggles
The first step in everything is to set your goals, the second step is to achieve them. The thing that gets in the way of those second steps most of the time is the obstacles we need to overcome but can't seem to figure out how to.
Well, first and foremost you need to identify what the obstacle is so that you are able to tackle it in the most effective way. Know that you are not alone, everyone has their low points but it's how you push through that really matters. Reach out and network with your support system whether it's in your professional life or personal life. Ask for help, and don't ever feel that you are alone in any situation, there are people who want to see you succeed. But also make sure that when these people are there for you, that you're there for those that need your support as well. It's easy to think small and go with the flow, but don't do it!
Think big, the bigger you think the more challenges may arise but the stronger you're going to come out and the more you're going to achieve. Don't give up, keep pushing always and always keep that positive mindset. The mind feeds the body so as you continue to feed your mind with positivity that effect will go throughout your whole body and all your actions.
